NPL and Cambridge Quantum Computing Collaborate in Quantum Computing

Cambridge Quantum Computing (CQC) is pleased to confirm that the UK’s National Physics Laboratory (NPL) has announced that it will be supporting CQC in the development of its novel photonic based product for generating certifiable quantum entropy (also commonly referred to as certifiable QRNG).

Earlier this year CQC, working with IBM, announced the world’s first quantum software to generate verifiable entropy from IBM’s quantum computer (https://cambridgequantum.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/CQC-IBM-statement.pdf). The announcement by NPL further underscores CQC’s work towards developing various methods that will and thus a variety of different platforms for achieving the same output that can be used in areas ranging from cybersecurity to large scale monte carlo simulations.
